Mullein

Mullein plants in a garden, they are a leafy green plant with a tall stalk.

Scientific Name: Verbascum densiflorum

Description: Biennial. Well-adapted to cottage, gravel, and rock gardens, and is an awesome pioneer plant! Short basal rosette of thick, soft, pale-green leaves. Tall stalk of abundant dense flowers the second year.

Min Full Sun: 8-12 hrs

Planting Instructions: Prefers full sun, fairly dry soil. Surface-sow seeds in spring, gently pressing into place. Thin to 1-2 ft apart. Remove spent blooms to prevent seed formation, control spreading.
