ENG 101

This course guide is designed to help students with their research in English 101

The Peer Review Process: Author writes an article and submits it to a journal. The author writes an article and then selects and appropriate journal to submit their article to. Journal editor assesses the article. The journal editor assesses the articles to make sure that the content is appropriate for their audience. Experts review the article. If appropriate, the journal sends the article to experts in the field to review the article and to make editing suggestions. Author revises article. The author reads the suggestions from the reviewers and edits the article, then re-submits the article to the journal and the process starts over until there are no more editing suggestions. Article is accepted or rejected. If there is no more editing to be done the journal reviews the article once more and then decides whether to reject the article or to accept and publish the article.
