The Evolution of Cells by
Some 3.8 billion years ago, in an era of churning seas and murky skies, a few chemicals combined under the right conditions, and life emerged on planet Earth. Over the past 25 years, terms like genetic modification, genetic engineering, recombinant DNA technology, and biotechnology have became commonplace in the news and in the public vocabulary.
